Lake Kivu runs the length of Rwanda sharing its opposite shoreline with the Democratic Republic of Congo.   There are several places that we like to offer as stops either for a day trip or overnights.  Activities on the lake are growing but it is still a predominately quiet and peaceful place without loud boats. Lake Kivu is a place to relax and enjoy some peace.
