Land area: Rwanda is one of the smallest countries on the African continent equivalent to the State of Maryland, or half the size of Scotland (10,169 sq miles- 26,338 sq. km). Rwanda is located in the heart of Africa landlocked but Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania and Uganda.

Altitude: The elevation ranges from 1,000 meters (4,000 feet) above sea level to its highest point of 4507 meters (14,787 feet) above sea level at Mt.Kirasimbi.

Population: Rwanda is home for ten million people, making it the most densely populated country in Africa.

Exports: Coffee, tea and pyrethrum (a pesticide made form chrysanthemum) are the countries most valuable resources. Rwanda’s coffee is becoming known as some of most sought after coffee in the specialty market place.
